It was Saturday, December 21st, 2008. It had been raining all day and their was nothing to do, so me, Wagner and his family decided to go to Dave and Busters. we were having a lot of fun, but it was getting late, so we decided to go home. Wagner was driving, I was in the passenger seat, and his brother Kevin was sitting behind him. We got on the freeway and it was rainy. We had been driving for about 30 minutes and it had stopped raining, but the roads were slippery. I started to dose off when all of a sudden the car started to slide toward the freeway divider. wagner tried to get the car back into our lane, but then it slide into the other lane, and when he tried to get it back into our lane again the car was going straight towards the divider again. All I could think was "Fuck we're going to crash", and I closed my eyes. we crashed into the divider and the car flipped in the air and when it hit the ground hit flipped one more time. I heard all the windows shatter and I felt all the glass shatter in my face, I still had my eyes closed. the car slid on its roof for about 500 feet then it finally stopped. I opened my eyes and we were upside down. I didnt feel any pain at all, it must have been the adrelelin. Wagner told me to take my seatbelt off, but it wouldnt come off. finally it came off and i fell to the ground. I climbed out the window and when i got out the car their were cars swerving around the car trying not to hit us. I ran to the divider where kevin was. he had kicked his window open and crawled out. I thought wagner was right behind me, but when i turned around he was still in the car, so i ran back, not even caring about the cars swerving around me, i just couldnt leave him there and do nothing, i helped him out of the car and we ran back to the divider. i finally got to sit down and thats when i started to feel the pain. my neck was stinging and i couldnt move my arm. Luckily there was a Guy that came to help us and called 911. He was a military cop, he looked at my arm and when i tried to look at it he told me i shouldnt, thats when I knew it was bad. I couldnt see my arm but i could see my sweater was all ripped up. finally the ambulances came and we went to the hospital. They think my arm went through the window and thats how so much of my skin was gone. the doctor took out so many pieces of glass and rubble from my arm. and they had stictch my arm, but it was hard for them because there was barely any skin to stitch, so they had to stretch my skin. the seat belt had scraped my neck really bad too. wagner only had a bump on his head and kevin had a couple of scratches on his leg. The car was totaled.

I remember a time in my life when...

I remember a time in my life when I went a party. I got really drunk and I even popped a pill (that was very stupid of me). I was acting like fool and then I saw a guy that i thought was really cute and i just went up to him and kissed him. i didn't even know him, not even his name. I found out later that his name was Giovanni. well anyways later that night i met another guy, his name was Wagner (he was the guy that gave me the alcohol). I had seen him once before, but he was dating another girl from my school. well we started dancing and when the party ended (it ended because of me) he offered to take me and my friend home. first we went to eat and one of those flower ladies came into the taqueria and he bought me a bouquet of roses. I was shocked because he had just met me. well we've been together for 10 months now and still strong.

My Philosophy

My philosophy is that everything happens for a reason. When something bad happens in life it is because someone made a mistake, either yourself or another person and it effected you. I feel that when something bad happens in life it's because something better will happen in your life. I don't worry too much when something bad happens to me any more because every time something goes wrong in my life I get something better in the end, like when my ex cheated on me and we broke I was all sad and stuff, but then I ended up meeting someone way better and I got my foot ran over a few months ago and now I'm getting a lot of money for it.

Deadlines

If I want to get my work in by the deadline then i need to do whatever it takes. i need to use my own camera and i need to go find the teachers until i get their pictures. i also need to keep asking
for the names of the teachers, staff and the seniors because no one wants to give them to me.

The World

I wish no one could be homeless or starving. I don't think anyone should go without food ever because that's the one thing everyone should be entitled to. It shouldn't matter how poor u are. I would be sad if I was poor and I someone told me that I couldn't have anything to eat. A way I could help the poor is donating food.

Breaking the rules

When I was in the seventh grade me and my friends met up at the mall because there was nothing else to do that day. We went to different stores just looking at stuff. Then we all decided to shoplift. I put all kinds of stuff in my bag. I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for my friends putting stuff in their bags for everyone to see. When we walked out a security guard who worked there undercover told us we got caught and to come with them. We were arrested and I was on probation for 6 months. I also had to do 20 hours of community service.

S.F. CHRONICLE- Petting-zoo slasher held in brutal break-in

A guy named Sonny Anderson who was on parole for stabbing animals at a Hayward petting zoo was sent to jail for trying to kill a 74-year-old woman at her home in San Lorenzo. In November He attacked a women and left her with a collapsed lung, a broken jaw, a dislocated elbow, a bloody nose and a lot of bruises. Sonny Anderson was arrested January 1999 for mutilating a goat, a horse, a turkey, a goose and a chicken with a knife at the Kennedy Park petting zoo in Hayward. the goat and horse survived. He was found covered in goat hair and blood.
I think this man is sick and needs to be in prison for the rest of his life or he'll keep trying to kill people. The killing of the animals was only the beginning. I think he'll become a serial killer because most serial killers start of with killing animals. I can't stand people who have the heart to hurt innocent animals. I honestly like animals more than I like People so It upset me more when i read that he mutilated the animals than him trying to kill the old lady. I'm sure other people are more upset that he tried to kill the 74-year-old lady.

Challenges and Sucesses

I'm kinda of upset because i took pictures of some of the teachers and now the camera won't turn on, so I can't finish my page on time. I'm mad because now my grade is going to go down. I also don't think 2 weeks is enough time to finish a page. I didn't take any pictures for my first page.
I just used the pictures they took.

my racial identity

I have a very different personality than all of my friends. I think differently than they do, but I've noticed that little things change about me depending on who I'm hanging out with. A lot of teens act the way their friends do, so if your Filipino and you live in the projects you're gonna act and talk the way they do because that's what you grew up around. If your black and live in a rich white neighborhood, you're going to act like the rest of the rich kids. the person you turn out to be in the future all depends on where you grow up and the struggles you go through.

You So Old

My grandma has a lot of pride for her Mexican culture. She's always cooking up something good. She is very religious and she has an altar in her room with the virgin of Guadelupe. She kneels in front of it and prays for what seems like forever. She goes to Mexico at least twice a year to visit her mom and the rest of her family. If it weren't for my grandma I wouldn't know the little spanish that i know right now and I wouldn't be familiar with the delicious food I've tried.

Define Culture

I'm not much of a cultural person, but I guess I would define it as where you come from. The kind of food you eat, the kind of dances that are popular in your country, the things that you do define culture. I'm Mexican, Puerto Rican, and Chinese, but my family only celebrates our Mexican culture. We eat lots of Mexican food like tamales and pasole. I use to dance a traditional mexican dance when i was little and i performed it at my sweet sixteen. My family doesn't celebrate our culture through language because only my dad's side of the family speaks spanish.

How Did I Connect To The Theme...

My page connected to the theme because each superhero has a voice. I made the teachers into Superheroes.

Match Making

I think opposites attract because most couples I know are so different from each other. though there are couples who like to do the same things. For example me and my boyfriend are a lot alike, but he is very athletic and loves playing soccer, but I hate playing sports. Some people like dating someone older and some like to date someone their age. A lot of girls I know look for older guys and a lot of guys I know like to date younger girls. A lot of couples meet in crazy or random places. sometimes they have even seen the person before, but never thought they would end up being wit them. For instance, last year I saw my boyfriend once walking in the hallway after school, but he was going out with someone else from the school and I never thought I would've met him, but I did and we've been together for 9 months.

In Love!

Love is crazy. teens fall in love because they hope that he's their prince charming, but then realize later that their partner is not the one for them. They get in relationships because they think the person would be the perfect person for them, if only they would change a couple of things about them. Then they realize they can't change that person and then they break up. Some couples tell each other that they love each other even if its not true because they think that's what their supposed to say to make the other person happy and their relationship just ends up being a lie. I've only been in love twice. the first time messed up my academics and my social life. I fell in love with him too quickly and thought he felt the same, only because he acted like he did. I spent all my time with him and never did any of my homework. I ended up failing or getting an NS contract in all my classes. I also lost a lot of my friend because I left them for him. I also lost my best friend because they started messing around behind my back. Love really makes you blind.

Black & White Seniorities

I haven't been impacted by "SENIORITIES". Seniorities is when seniors start to lack off because its their senior year and they think it's party year. Seniors party instead of being focused on their work and end up failing their classes. Some seniors don't get into the colleges they were accepted into because their grades dropped. Seniors dont take their senior year seriously. Seniorities doesnt affect me, but it effects other seniors in my school. They don't do any of their work and and will end up not graduating high school.

Match Makers

Me and Wagner met at the end of April 08. We met at Eddy P's party. We both got really messed up. We started dancing and when the party ended he asked if he take me home, so he got his friends and took me and my friend to my house but first we all went to taco loco and he bought me food and then he bought me a bouquet of roses. Two weeks later was Prom, I didn't go with him, but we met up at the after party at a hotel. He asked me if I wanted to go get something to eat and when we were waiting for the elevator, he asked me to be his girl. we've been together ever since. Est. 05.10.08

How Do You Use Captions

I am making the teacher's mug shots into cartoons, so on top of or on the side of their picture I am going to have some of them talk. I want them to say funny phrases. It's going to a comic feel to it. I want my page to be fun and eye catching. It connects to the theme because it's i voice and the teachers will be talking and say phrases that sound like them.

How I Get Money

My mom doesn't like giving me money for things she doesn't think i need, but I always figure out a way to get what I want. If I really want something, I just say something to make her feel bad for me and then she'll give me the money for it. There was this one time when I wanted to buy some new jeans, but I knew she wouldn't because she wouldn't think I needed any, so I showed her three pairs of really old jeans that were all ripped. I had a sad look on my face and told her these were my favorite jeans and now I don't have any jeans to wear. She fell for it and bought me three new pairs.

Yearbook Timeline

My first page for the yearbook is The Teachers Mug Shots. First I am going to get the pictures, then I am going to pick a background for the layout, but I might just use colors instead of another picture behind the mug shots. I am going to draw funny things on the teachers, like changing the color of their hair, draw funny mustaches and hats, but i am not going to disrespect them.

Taking Advantage

I have taken advantage of a lot of things in Leadership high school, for instance when I have had homework due the next day and I don't feel like doing it or need another day to finish it because its too hard, I just don't go to school the next day so I can do then. I would do this because I know the teachers will just let turn in the homework when I get back to school. I've gotten a lot of work done like that. Even though it works and I would always get the credit for the homework, I ended up failing anyways because of the Attendance Policy. So it all just back fired on me in the end. This semester am not going to do that. I am just going to do my homework when it's due.

Web Design Elements

My three favorite websites are maccosmetics.com, sephora.com, and yahoo.com. What I like about Macs web design is how the title is in the top left corner and there is a picture right in the middle of the page, but the picture is constantly changing, so it doesn't stay the same and that would be boring to me. I like to see more then one picture. Sephora's title is in the same place as Mac. but mostly everything else is different. Instead of just the pictures changing in the middle, there are a bunch of pictures of some of the different products they sell. There layout isn't that great. I like Mac's website better. Yahoo's website looks kind of crowded, but it's very organized. I like that there is a lot of stuff on the website. The site makes it easy sign in or sign up because they have those buttons on the top right corner. these websites are the most interesting to look at.

I Have A Voice

When I graduate from Leadership high school want to be remembered as the make up artist. It's what I love and I want everyone to know it. When I graduate I'm going to do everything i can do to be the best make up artist I can be. I am going to go to skyline and get my AS degree and major in Cosmetology. Then I am going to attend make up school. I also want to be remembered by being in the best squad ever "The Hoochie Squad". They're the best friends I ever had. I LOVE those girls. Most of all I want to be remembered as Wagner's girl. He's the love of my life.
